Janelle Edwards-Spear, our principal designer, has been obsessed with interiors for as long as she can remember - devouring her mum’s copies of home and lifestyle magazines, weekends were spent re-arranging and styling every room in the house, using objects that were already available or scouring antique shops and auctions to score those illustrious one-off pieces that would bring a sense of belonging and individuality to her space.
Janelle brings flair and impeccable project management honed through her past career in hospitality and events. Her hands-on approach means each project is unique and curated especially for each client.
Over the past 10 years, whilst studying with KLC design school in London, Janelle has completed many projects across the UK and greater Europe gaining an exceptional understanding of building infrastructure particularly historical architecture, space, design details and their relationship to the environment. Not to mention learning from many of the great interior design classics, and having access to artisans and exceptional design industry specialists. Now back in Australia Janelle brings an aesthetic that is interesting and authentic, that will stand the test of time - unswayed by current design trends.
Janelle uses a very intuitive and highly creative approach in collaboration with her clients, ensuring that she understands how they aspire to live in their homes.
She has an uncanny ability to visualise a space and align it to her client’s story. This creativity is balanced by using a rigorous process to ensure her client’s projects are on budget and on time, creating a great relationship that often transcends the project.
